Branded Moments
Purpose
To create moments of clarity, insight, approachability and optimism in states where the system is internally working, configuring, awaiting input or in error.
APPROACH
In order to showcase how a branded moment can be strategized to improve user interaction, I have designed for 3 common scenarios:
When a system is in error or an error page
When a system is authorizing the users credentials
When a system is working and needs the user to wait.
Process
To design a successful branded moment, I asked the following questions:
Who, what, & why?
Who caused the issue?
What happened?
Why did this happen?
How & when?
How can we solve this problem?
When will this be solved?
Integrating meaning:
How can we tie this to the company’s brand?
How do we create unexpected delight?
